Danainae

Danainae is a subfamily of the Nymphalidae family, the brush-footed butterflies. It includes the Daniades, or milkweed butterflies, which lay their eggs on various milkweeds on which their larvae (caterpillars) feed, as well as light butterflies (Ithomiini) and tellervini.
